He read through the asinine word vomit that he himself wrote, and was embarrassed at what a childish rant it was. In a fit of rage he mass-deleted everything, leaving only this post as an explanation:
This first started as a repository for me to wax poetic on the doldrums of daily life. Unfortunately, in an attempt to be fully transparent and write in a stream of consciousness, I ended up complaining about a lot of things and people in my life.
While it was somewhat cathartic to binge-write into a pseudo-public forum, I didn’t like that side of myself (as arguably authentic as it may have been). Even if that discontent was a true part of me, I wanted to be a better version of myself.
And he then didn’t touch his blog for a year.
He began to miss it though.
What good was a blog if you couldn’t write about the things that upset you? And sure, maybe it’s embarrassing. But who really reads this anyway?
“AND WHO CARES WHAT PEOPLE THINK?!” he tried to tell himself. “This blog is for your mental health, not for anyone else.”
THE BLOG IS BACK BABY.
…
He’ll probably still care what other people think. He’ll probably still try to make the blog funny.
